Philadelphia Phillies – Dancing with Destiny

The greatest show on Earth has just rolled into town.  No, I am not referring to the circus, but the endearing Philadelphia Phillies.  Tonight the Phillies once again claimed their righteous spot on the throne on top of the N.L. East chart ahead of the floundering Florida Marlins.  The Phils trebbled their way through to claim 2 out of 3 from the Marlins with help tonight from Jenkins and Utley’s longballs.  Pat Burrell also contributed with a 2 run double which clinched it for the Phillies in the 7th inning.  Jamie Moyer claimed his 6th victory of 2008 by keeping the Phils in the game long enough for the clinch hitting offense to kick into gear.  Brad Lidge was his usual “Light’s out Lidge” tonight claiming his 13th save for the Phightins.  The Phillies are going into tommorow with a 4 game series against the Reds to finish the 10 game homestand at Citizen Bank Park.  Go Phils !

  1. I watched the game and it was awesome!! I’m a huge phan of the Phillies and I must say…. they didn’t let me down tonight. It was amazing watching my man Jenkins get his 2-run homerun to tie the game and Burrell bring in the next two points. 🙂

  2. Another Phils blog…nice.

I have one too. If you’re interested in swapping links, drop a comment on my blog or an email.
