Philadelphia Phillies – Myers Bumped Into His Shadow

Brett Myers the Philadelphia Phillies number one starter seen glimpes of himself today in the 2-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.  Myers went 7 1/3 innings with only 1 hit produced from the Reds 1st baseman Joey Votto ending Myers hopes of a no hitter.  Myers must still be pleased with his performance tonight considering his recent struggles with control around the plate.  The Phillies left 5 runners tonight in scoring position and were not able to manufacture the hits needed to bring them home.  Phils will finish their homestand at Citizen Bank Park tomorrow ending their 4 game series against the Reds.  They will go on a 9 game road trip starting off at Turner Field playing the Atlanta Braves.  Atlanta is currently 3.5 games behind the Phillies in the division.  Go Phightins !!
